Hi,

My name is Ruthie Brown. My husband Larry and I are the owners of the Green Spot. We are now in our 6th year and during that time we have worked almost 7 days a week to make the Green Spot the best store possible. We couldn't have done it without the help of our daughters Megan Carr and Melissa Roberts.

I have been doing gardening in Alamosa for over 30 years. I worked for the City of Alamosa for many years doing all their landscaping. I also do private landscaping and landscape consulting. During my years of landscaping I often had to go out of the Valley to find the products and plants that I needed.

And so ... my goal now is to have those products and plants available at the Green Spot. If you have something that you would like to have available in our store, please let us know and we will try to get it.

We do more and more with organic products. We will be carrying more beneficial insects this year -- including red wigglers, nematodes, wasps, etc. We plan on doing more classes and workshops.

Did I mention that the Green Spot is also the best antique store in the area and beyond -- way beyond? Come by and take a look. Our inventory changes daily.
